I am now 230 pounds and want to lose 30 to be 200 lbs by college this fall.

Get some good music, a gallon of water, and start on an elliptical or stationary bike and hit it hard for about 45 minutes+. You need to burn about 500 calories a day to lose a lb of fat a week. If you exceed this, that is good. I would recommend you do not exceed lose 2lbs of fat a week, it will drain you. May Now, 1,2,3, August. Yeah 2 lbs a week so you need to either burn 1000 calories a day or eat 1000calories less.
I would also cut out milk and bread

I would say, P90X, that is a funny exercise, and not boring. just invest to buy a set of DVD and a pair of shoes. Follow the instruction and you will see result shortly. You will get lean, and look fine. There are 3 training sections, 90 days each. If you keep working with them, you might reach to your all time low. Which is better to join gym for expensive fee. good luck

Ok- with so much information out there and SO many ways to lose weight, I’ve got a way that works and has always worked. It’s very simple. Take your desired target weight and multiply it by 10. Then add 30%. That is the maximum number of calories you should consume everyday. With that math you will lose about 2 pounds a week /your weight (more is bad for your body). Here are some tips: Log everything you eat (w/calorie count). You can eat anything you want (don’t go over your max) but if you’d also like to be healthy, focus on fruits and veggies (they fill you up and are the lowest in calories). If you have an iphone, use the program Lose it!, it does all the math for you. I’m on this plan right now and basically I have a small healthy breakfast, small healthy lunch and larger healthy dinner. I still eat pizza once a week, Indian once a week too..but on these nights…I eat a small breakfast and lunch and bike for 1/2 hour a day (to get about 300 calories back). This plan works but you have to not cheat!!!! Hope this helps and good luck!!!!!!!!!!
