i have a hard time believing i can lose 30 pounds?

i have always been slim, but recently i gained about 30 pounds.
i hate it sooo much. i work out constantly and i’m trying to eat better and all that, but for some reason i have absolutes no hope.
i don’t know why, but it’s hard for me to believe i can lose that much weight and look the way i want to without a personal trainer or something like that.
any advice?
You need a positive attitude to get started. Once you believe you can do it then you will be focused. I am on a weigh loss goal myself and I want to lose 40 by Christmas. I started on 7/10 and am down 8 lbs. I run outside or do the treadmill 6 days a week. I also have an exercise bike. I try to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. I eat dry turkey sandwiches on wheat bread, fat free yogurt, hard boiled eggs and salad. Drink lots of water all day long. Exercise is the key. For me I am also building muscle mass by doing push ups and abdominal exercises every day. If you don’t have equipment, you can jog or go for brisk walks. Try to get something out of your workouts. You need to increase your heart rate to burn fat. Walk uphill. If you have a bike, go ride it. Run on a local school track. Be dedicated. You should be able to lose 15 lbs in 10-12 weeks. figure 1 or 2 lbs a week. Good luck.

You can lose 20 pounds by December 2008. (and worry about the other 10 pounds next year.) It is important to set mini goals first like lose 8 pounds every month. It is possible. You can do it if you plan your daily activities and exercise and food intake (counting calories) . Be consistent and positive, you have to believe you can do it.
