Hemroid Symptoms Which Determine Your Condition

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Different hemroid symptoms may be manifested through itching or bleeding and every kind must be dealt with appropriately. The first thing that however needs to be told is that internal hemorrhoid symptoms and external hemroid symptoms vary widely and therefore the need to deal with them differently.

The External Hemorrhoid Symptoms

External hemroid symptoms include pain in the rectal area of the digestive tract because bowel movement is obstructed and made difficult. The painful obstruction may cause blood clot and lump formation under the skin. The thrombosed state associated with lumps is a feature of what is referred to as thrombosed hemorrhoids.

There are instances when you have solid, compact stools which cause pain upon forceful excretion which is accompanied by bloody stool. This blood passing is not general but happens very rarely. It is usually a common place issue with an internal hemorrhoid but not so much with an external one.

Internal Hemroid Symptoms

The first indication that you have internal hemorrhoid is bleeding. The blood in the stool is due to rectal bleeding which is a frequent symptom. Generally you pass blood, fresh and crimson in color, with your stool and then know that you have an internal condition that you need to be cured. The odds of acquiring anemia due to rectal bleeding is quite small, although it is better not to completely disregard the possibility.

However, other than bleeding there are other symptoms that you may try to catch and then determine for yourself whether you are suffering from internal hemorrhoids or not. The best would always be to consult a doctor but you can check the preliminaries if you want to.

This disorder results to irritation and itching which can be very uncomfortable.  The hemorrhoids release mucous that irritates the lining in the rectum. The irritation is manifested through the itchiness in the anus. There is often nothing you can do about the itching in your anus and around it.

Other than itching, skin irritation is a very simple hemroid symptom. This skin irritation will occur mostly on your back side and the skin covering your buttocks. Formation of very tiny acne type mater is also known to have been found in person affected with internal hemroids. This irritation is due to the surrounding skin being exposed to the mucus secretion. In some cases, the hemroids become large enough to protrude out of the anus such that the mucus leaks out causing irritation in the surrounding skin.

Often, sitting down causes excruciating pain which is one of the hemroid symptoms. Another is the constant urge to move the bowels. The feeling of fullness in the rectal region is due to the presence and pressure of hemroids. This confusing sensation does not seem to go away, even just after moving your bowels.

An intense hemroid symptom can come as pain that can be alleviated through pain killing medicines.

Hemroid Relief and Hemroid Treatments

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

Curing hemroids can be done in a matter of days since hemroid treatment is a simple process. If the condition is highly aggravated however, severe treatment is necessary. Hemroids can usually be treated with the help of good diets and healthy food. In order to have a perfect treatment that lasts long, you need to drink lots of fluids occasionally and adopt a healthy diet with foods that are rich in fiber.

If over the counter drugs and medicine are what you seek, those are also available. You will just have to visit a doctor and get yourself checked by your doctor, who will prescribe the necessary medications automatically. If you desire creams that can be spread around the anus, they are also available. Hemroid treatment can in fact be divided under the following heads.

Ayurvedic hemroid treatment

Since the beginning, people have been leading healthy lives with the aid of ayurveda. Harmless medications made by using herbs have also been used to cure extremely severe illnesses. Natural products such as calendula, green leaves, jojoba and the like have been producing positive results for hemroid treatment.

Surgical hemroid treatment

A good option regarding hemroid treatment is surgery. There are different choices to choose from: diminish bulging through injection which relieves the pain of the patient. De-coagulation of the blood is induced through injection of a chemical, preventing it from clumping together and swelling. Undergoing the following procedure is also possible for hemroid treatment as well. You can get the laser coagulation treatment which means that your hemroid will be exposed to laser rays which will lead to its shrinking and returning to normal position.

You will understand that its absolutely pain free once you undergo it. Photocoagulation facilitated through the use of infrared beams is as painless and you can also give it a try. An instrument which is used to burn hemroidal tissue and curing the affected area is what this pertains to. Although the process sounds painful, it isn’t. Hemroid pain can also be relieved through the rubber coagulation treatment involving a rubber band for effective results.

This procedure involves positioning a rubber band on your hemroid’s base inside your rectum. Then the rubber band will continuously cut the circulation of that area leading to the withering of the hemroid. The hemroid then will fall off leaving you with a perfect anus!

Personal precautions you can take

You can take personal precautions when indulging in hemroid treatment by way of keeping good food habits and eating lots of fibers which will make your stool soft and not put much pressure on your anal walls. Also, using a squat toilet rather than a sitting toilet helps keep away from hemroids which leads to the need of hemroid treatment.
