Why You Should Want To Lose Stomach Fat

If insulin levels are high for protracted periods then the risk of developing diabetes rises. One outcome of higher instances of insulin is that the liver can develop its own deposits of fat and so work less well and contribute that way to a build up of stomach fat. If the liver does become affected like this then it can have knock on effects on insulin levels and in turn lead to greater threat of heart attack, stroke and diabetes. Just this reason is enough to merit looking at your lifestyle and diet in an effort to lose stomach fat.
Those of you who have a body type that is inclined to store more fat around your middle as opposed any other area of your body, should be aware that this probably means your system is not removing surplus insulin as efficiently as it could.
